This is an American vintage quilt made circa 1960's to 1970s. It is an elevated Field of Diamonds Quilt Pattern. This quilt is both hand sewn and hand quilted, which is a labor of love and a lost art. We love the elevated blue star border, which we best highlighted on the shawl collar. We also love the bright blue backing fabric(inside of jacket), which can best be seen when the cuffs are rolled. In our opinion the piece is very thin, has little to no batting, is very soft, and has a good drape. If you have further questions please direct message us and we are happy to send you a video.
The Blankie style is our most oversized one size fits most jacket. If you are tiny or petite please understand this is a very large oversized jacket. Lady Lancaster, who is modeling this jacket is a US size 0-4 and 5'4" in height for perspective. This piece legitimately fits a US size 0-16 comfortably. Lady Lancaster designed this style to be a literal Blankie with arms. Perfect layering piece for after the beach or pool or a pre ski and campfire.
- This jacket has clear snaps that disappear into the fabric at the bottom of the shawl collar to help the lapel drape nicely.
- This features two very deep, generous pockets.
- One Size Fits Most
Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
