This is an antique American quilt made circa 1890s to 1920s. This is a traditional The Lost Ship quilt pattern. The quilt has been beautifully hand quilted and hand sewn, which is a labor of love and a lost art. This piece is overflowing with very rare and highly collectible indigo fabric. These indigo quilts are becoming harder and harder to find, we are very proud to offer this one in our collection. In our opinion, the jacket is lightweight with medium loft (puffiness). We do not recommend this for a warmer climate because of its medium loft, not weight but puffiness. The jacket was made with very luxe and soft cotton. This quilt did not come from a humble home, the backing fabric(inside of jacket) is a novelty fabric as well! It is in excellent condition for its age and it was made by a master. - The shawl collar allows for several different style options. This jacket is meant to be worn right side up or upside down.
- This jacket has two clear snaps that disappear into the fabric at the bottom of the shawl collar to help the lapel drape nicely.

This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
