This is an American antique quilt top made circa 1930s to 1940s. It is a traditional Wedding Ring quilt pattern. The quilt top is hand sewn. To complete the quilt we backed the top with a beautiful floral novelty floral fabric making this jacket completely reversible with multiple styling options. If you look closely at the quilt top you can find some feedsack fabrics! In our opinion, the jacket is thin, lightweight, soft, and has a great drape. It does have a little loft (puffiness). PLEASE NOTE: This is our PETITE Ethel pattern, NOT our Standard Ethel pattern. It has less fabric in the bodice and significantly shorter sleeves. - The shawl collar allows for several different style options. This jacket is meant to be worn right side up or upside down.
- This jacket has two clear snaps that disappear into the fabric at the bottom of the shawl collar to help the lapel drape nicely.
- The Aunt Ethel has slouchy shoulders and a generous fit, keeping in line with its bohemian roots.

This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
