This is an Antique American quilt made circa 1890's-1920. It is a traditional Ocean Waves quilt pattern. This piece has been beautifully hand quilted and hand sewn, which is a labor of love and a lost art. This piece is overflowing with rare and valuable indigo fabrics. It is backed in a cotton muslin fabric. This quilt was VERY well loved and due to that shows some wear, but is very soft and has a great drape. In our opinion the quilt is thin and light weight with little to no loft. PLEASE NOTE: there are many zigzag mends throughout as well as weak fabrics. This jacket has a shabby chic feel to it.
