This is an American antique quilt made circa 1930's-1950's. It is an elevated version of the traditional Wagon Wheel quilt pattern. It contains many historic feedsack fabrics. The quilt is hand sewn but it is not hand quilted. The fabrics in this quilt show fade and show some sun bleaching, however, they are stable. We have priced this jacket accordingly. There are also a few zig zag mends throughout. In our opinion the quilt is very floppy and has a good drape. It is thin, soft and lightweight. The maker backed this quilt(inside of jacket) with a cotton muslin fabric. Please note there is an age spot on the inside of the jacket, it does not bleed through to the front. Please see iphone photos at the end of the listing. If you have any questions at all regarding this piece, please DM us before purchasing. We will be happy to help.

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
