This is an Antique American quilt made circa 1920's-1930's. It is a traditional Trip Around the World Quilt pattern. This piece has been hand quilted, which is a labor of love and a lost art. Each postage stamp is like piece from a historical fabric scrapbook. The quilt contains quintessential turn of the century patterned reds and pinks, has solid blocked fabrics from the 20's and iconic florals from the 1930's. This is definition Shabby Chic. If you like to wear your Aunt Ethel's inside out and upside down this is a great option for you. The maker backed this quilt(inside of jacket with a fun floral fabric that you will want to show off. When you cuff the sleeves you will see a strip of historic green floral fabric pointing to the late 1800's. This is what we consider to be a summer weight quilt. It was not made for warmth or comfort, but rather, aesthetics. In our opinion the quilt is thin, light weight, with an excellent drape. Please note: there is some color bleed and minor tanning. We have included photos at the end of the listing as an example. If you have further questions, please direct message us and we are happy to send you a video.

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
