WOW! This is a museum-worthy piece. This was made by a master maker circa 1930's-1950's. We believe the maker took the traditional Favorite Star pattern and added their own extra special touch. This piece contains meticulous hand sewing, dense and expert hand quilted, and expert hand applique stitching. The basic pattern does not include the appliqued Grandma's Garden flowers, they are an extra special added bonus. Some of these flowers contain rare feedsack fabrics. The piece was well taken care of and is in excellent condition. In our opinion the quilt is soft, thin, light weight with little to no loft(batting), and has a good drape. This is a Lady Lancaster 10/10. This is a very special piece. Please note there are a few minor zig zag mends and a few age spots. Please see photos at the end of the listing. - The shawl collar allows for several different style options. This jacket is meant to be worn right side up or upside down.

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
