This is an Antique American quilt made circa1930's-1940's. It is a traditional Bachelor's Puzzle, also known as a Road to Jerusalem quilt pattern. This is a very rare quilt pattern with a rare novelty fabric showcased in the quilt block. This piece has been meticulously hand quilted and hand sewn which is a labor of love and a lost art. This maker was a master quilter, you do not get to see this level of quilting everyday. This is a summer weight quilt. It was not made for warmth or comfort, but rather, aesthetics.
