This is an Antique American quilt made circa 1930's-1940's. It is a traditional Log Cabin quilt pattern. The quilt contains rare and valuable novelty fabrics and feedsack fabrics. See if you can find the fawns in the grasses with flowers! This piece has been hand quilted which is a labor of love and a lost art. The center red squares represent a fire burning inside the log homes. The maker backed the quilt(inside of jacket) with the same fabric. This can best be seen when the cuffs are rolled or the jacket is worn upside down. In our opinion this piece is soft, thin, light weight with little to no loft, and has an awesome drape.
