This is an Antique American quilt made circa 1930's-1940's. It is a traditional Lone Star quilt pattern. This piece has been beautifully hand quilted and hand sewn, which is a labor of love and a lost art. We love the elevated striped border. This is a very thin quilt, with little to no batting, in other words, it is a summer weight quilt. It was not made for warmth, but rather, aesthetics. In our opinion the quilt is very thin, soft, light weight, and has an excellent drape. Please note: there are a few zigzag mends throughout and and a few age spots. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
