This is a vintage American quilt made circa 1960's-1970's. It is a traditional Lone Star quilt pattern made in a very unorthodox colorway. We love the ombre shades of purple. The quilt has been hand quilted, however, the maker was either a juvenile or novice as the quilting is not very tight. You can see the grey quilt lines underneath the maker's stiches. This adds a dimension to the white sections of the quilt. In our opinion this piece is soft, thin, light weight with medium loft(puffiness). Due to the loft the drape is moderate. Wearing this quilt feels like a cloud hug. Some of the fabrics used to make this quilt may be poly cotton blend fabrics. Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
