Barbie World! This is an Antique American quilt made circa 1940's-1960's. It is a traditional 8 Point Star quilt pattern made with very unorthodox colors. The quilt is exquisite for its meticulous hand sewing and museum-worthy hand quilting. We love that the maker backed the quilt(inside of Jacket) with purple fabric. This can best be appreciated when the cuffs are rolled or the jacket is worn upside down. Please see photos at the end of this listing for an example of this styling option. This is what we consider to be a summer weight quilt. It was not made for warmth , but rather, aesthetics. In our opinion the quilt is thin, light weight, with an excellent drape.
