This is an Antique American quilt made circa 1930's-1940's. It is a traditional Irish Chain quilt pattern. This piece is exceptional for its tiny pieces, meticulous hand sewing and masterful hand quilting. This piece is overflowing with variety of fun novelty fabrics and a few Feed sacks from its era. We love the contrasting bright pink backing fabric(inside of jacket). This can best be seen when the cuffs are rolled or the jacket is worn upside down. This piece is soft, thin, medium weight and has medium loft(puffiness). Due do the dense hand stitching there is a little stiffness to this piece. Overall this quilt is in excellent condition.
