This is an Antique American quilt top made in the Snowball or Fireball quilt pattern. We added a Postage stamp quilt top from the same decade as the backing to this piece. These tops were made circa 1930's-1950's. This is two jackets in one and we cannot decide which quilt top we love best. Please Note: THIS IS NOT HANDQUILTED! Our good friend Zoe Dawn quilted these two tops together on her long arm. This jacket is a true fashion multi tasker, it can be worn both inside out and upside down! Please see listing photos for styling inspiration. This jacket is filled with a variety of clothing scraps, novelty fabrics, and Feed Sacks from its era. In our opinion this piece is super soft, thin, lightweight, and has a good drape. This piece is comfortable to wear and a joy to style! - The shawl collar allows for several different style options. This jacket is meant to be worn right side up or upside down.
- This jacket has two clear snaps that disappear into the fabric at the bottom of the shawl collar to help the lapel drape nicely.
- The Aunt Ethel has slouchy shoulders and a generous fit, keeping in line with its bohemian roots.

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
