This is an Antique American quilt made circa 1890s-1920s. It is a traditional Ohio Star Quilt Pattern. It contains many novelty fabrics from its era. This was not made in a humble home. This beauty is exquisite for its tiny pieces, its hand quilting, and its meticulous hand sewing. We love the blue floral backing fabric which can best be seen when the cuffs are rolled or the jacket is worn inside out. This is a true fashion multitasker. This piece is thin, light weight, and has an excellent drape. The red squares do appear to have a little color bleed from the navy backing fabric, it makes the fabric look a little muddy.
