This is an Antique American quilt made circa 1880s-1910. It is a traditional Lone Star Quilt Pattern. This piece is exceptional for its crisp points, its hand quilting, and its hand sewing. In our opinion, this piece is thin, lightweight, and has an excellent drape. We love the contrasting fabric on the back of the quilt (inside of the jacket). This can best be seen when the cuffs are rolled or the jacket is worn upside down. This quilt is in excellent condition for its age. It is an absolute piece of wearable folk art. It is important to note that in some areas the orange color bled, but because the colors are so saturated, it is very hard to see. There are some dye inequities throughout.
