This is an American antique quilt made circa 1910 - 1920s. It is the traditional Around the World quilt pattern. This piece is exceptional for it’s tiny piece, it’s hand quilting, and hand sewing. In our opinion the quilt is thin, lightweight with a little loft (batting). This piece is not the most drapey quilt we have ever had, it does hold it’s structure a bit more than many. Please note: there is tanning and color bleed throughout this entire quilt. We were unable to get a conclusive image of the tanning and color bleed, however one of the fabrics showed potential vulnerability and there is a watermark on the back. There is also color bleeding and tanning throughout. Examples of this can be seen in the photos at the end of the listing. - The Aunt Ethel has slouchy shoulders and a generous fit, keeping in line with its bohemian roots.

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
