The Aunt Ethel Quilt Jacket

This jacket is made from an antique American quilt top made circa 1880s to 1890s. This piece is a traditional Pride of Holland quilt pattern. It is overflowing with rare and valuable indigo fabrics, men's shirt scraps, and homespun ginghams. To complete the quilt we backed the top (inside of jacket) with turn-of-the-century reproduction indigo fabric. This makes the jacket look amazing when worn inside out and upside down. You will want to cuff the sleeves to show this off as well! The quilt top has been beautifully hand sewn. In our opinion, the jacket is thin, lightweight, and has a great drape. This piece will look great with everything in your closet. • The shawl collar allows for several different style options. This jacket is meant to be worn right side up or upside down.
• This jacket has two clear snaps that disappear into the fabric at the bottom of the shawl collar to help the lapel drape nicely.

 Please note that many of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabrics reflect this. At times the fabrics are older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
