The Aunt Ethel Quilt Jacket

This quilt jacket was made using an antique American quilt made circa 1930s to 1960s. It is a traditional Broken Star quilt pattern. The quilt has been meticulously hand sewn and beautifully hand quilted. This piece was made by a master. The ground color is what we consider a light peach color. We love the complimentary floral backing fabric, inside of jacket, it makes the jacket reversible. You will want to wear this piece upside down and with a chunky cuff! This piece will look great with everything in your wardrobe. In our opinion, the jacket is very thin, soft, and lightweight. It has a beautiful and floppy drape. This piece is in great condition. • The shawl collar allows for several different style options. This jacket is meant to be worn right side up or upside down.
• This jacket has two clear snaps that disappear into the fabric at the bottom of the shawl collar to help the lapel drape nicely.
• The Aunt Ethel has slouchy shoulders and a generous fit, keeping in line with its bohemian roots.

Please note that most of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabrics reflect this. Some fabrics can be older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
