This quilt jacket was made from an antique American quilt made circa 1890s to 1920. It is a Building Blocks quilt pattern. It contains extremely rare indigo fabrics. The quilt has been beautifully hand quilted and hand sewn. It is extremely soft and comfortable to wear with no loft. This piece was made by a master. The stitching is dense and extremely tiny. We bound the jacket with a beautiful Liberty of London floral fabric and lined the cuff with the same floral fabric so when you cuff the sleeve you get a little peak, please see photos. This is a Lady Lancaster 10/10 for its rarity and excellent construction. Please note, this piece has seen a lot of pre love and there are zig zag mends throughout. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
