This is an antique Lancaster Mennonite quilt made circa 1930s to 1960s. It is a traditional Grecian Designs or Greek Square quilt pattern. The quilt has been beautifully hand quilted which is a labor of love and a lost art. In our opinion, the quilt is thin, lightweight, soft, and has a great drape. The maker backed the quilt with a cotton muslin fabric. To add interest, we lined the sleeves with contrasting floral fabric so when the sleeves are rolled you get an extra pop of color. Please note, there are some faint age spots and tanning. On the outside of the jacket there is a very faint spot on the center back. Overall, the quilt is in excellent condition. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
