This quilt jacket was made from an antique American quilt made circa 1890s to 1910. It is a traditional Irish Chain Quilt pattern. The maker was a master. It has been masterfully hand quilted and beautifully hand sewn. It is becoming more and more rare to find these perfectly sun bleached indigo quilt. The sun bleaching is throughout the whole quilt. In our opinion, the jacket is very thin, very lightweight, soft, and has a very flattering and flattering drape. This is a summer weight quilt meaning it was made for aesthetics and not warmth.
