Wow, this piece is an absolute stunner and a true textile gem! This is a very very rare and sought after Amish made quilt. It is a vintage American quilt. This pattern as been referred to as a Roman Stripe, Rainbow Block, or Shadows quilt pattern. The quilt has been meticulously hand quilted and hand sewn. There is some sateen in these fabrics, so it has a slightly silky feel which is commonly found with many of the Amish quilts from this era. We love the contrasting salmon backing which gives this quilt so much styling versatility. You will want to cuff the sleeves to show off this fabric and displace the contrasting hand quilted stitches. This colorway is very rare and an absolute show stopper. In our opinion, the jacket is very thin, very lightweight, and has a deliciously flattering drape. This is a Lady Lancaster 10/10. the quilt is in excellent condition.
