The Aunt Ethel

This is an American antique quilt top made circa 1900s to 1930s. It is traditional Chuck-A-Luck quilt pattern. The top was beautifully hand sewn, however it was machine quilted. To complete the quilt we backed the top with a black & white heritage paisley fabric. This jacket offers endless styling options! We have photographed some of our favorites in this listing for your convenience. In our opinion, the jacket is thin, lightweight, soft, and has a little loft (puffiness). There is some muted subtle color bleed that was very difficult to capture. This is a Lady Lancaster 10/10. We rarely feature jackets with black fabrics and this is a great opportunity if you are looking for a moody neutral to add to your wardrobe. • The shawl collar allows for several different style options. This jacket is meant to be worn right side up or upside down.
• This jacket has two clear snaps that disappear into the fabric at the bottom of the shawl collar to help the lapel drape nicely.
• The Aunt Ethel has slouchy shoulders and a generous fit, keeping in line with its bohemian roots.

 Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
