The Aunt Ethel

This is a Lady Lancaster original quilt and a Future Heirloom. The quilt was made using a combination of a Mid-century quilt kit and Free Spirit novelty fabrics. It is a traditional Lone Star quilt pattern. The piece was not hand sewn but brought to life by Zoe Dawn and her long arm. The jacket will go with everything in your closet! It looks great with yoga pants or styled with Mom jeans and boots. There are endless ways to style this jacket. If you like to wear your jacket inside out and upside down, this is a great option for you! Please see photos for some of our favorite options. This is a work horse jacket and doesn’t require extreme care like many of our heritage pieces. In our opinion, the jacket is thin, lightweight, and soft. Please note you can see some of the original quilt kit line markings, we could not remove this during our washing process. • The shawl collar allows for several different style options. This jacket is meant to be worn right side up or upside down.
• This jacket has two clear snaps that disappear into the fabric at the bottom of the shawl collar to help the lapel drape nicely.
• The Aunt Ethel has slouchy shoulders and a generous fit, keeping in line with its bohemian roots.
• One Size Fits Most - Model is 5’4 and approximately 125lbs

 Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
