This is an antique quilt top made circa 1890's to 1910. The maker of the quilt top was a master and not scared of a challenge. They combined the technical Sarah's Choice Star quilt pattern with the Old Maid's Patience quilt pattern. The quit top has been beautifully hand sewn. We backed this quilt top with an Indigo reproduction fabric. In our opinion, the quilt is very thin, very lightweight, very soft, and has a flattering and buttery drape. There are very very tiny age marks throughout and a few zig zag mends. Please Note: This quilt is not hand quilted. This jacket looks great worn inside out and upside down. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
