The Aunt Ethel

This is an American antique quilt made circa 1890’s to 1920’s. This piece is an incredible relic from the turn of the century! It is in excellent condition. It is a traditional Lone Star quilt pattern, however, it is elevated with extra satellite stars making this piece an absolute stunner! This quilt is beautifully hand quilted and hand sewn. As an added bonus, the maker backed the quilt(inside of jacket) with calico fabric. You will want to cuff the sleeves or wear this piece inside out to show this off. This is a Lady Lancaster 11/10. In our opinion, the quilt is lightweight, soft, and has medium loft (puffiness). This piece looks excellent upside down and offers many styling options. • The shawl collar allows for several different style options. This jacket is meant to be worn right side up or upside down.
• This jacket has two clear snaps that disappear into the fabric at the bottom of the shawl collar to help the lapel drape nicely.
• The Aunt Ethel has slouchy shoulders and a generous fit, keeping in line with its bohemian roots.

This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
