This is an American antique quilt made circa 1890’s to 1920’s. It is a traditional Nine Patch Quilt Pattern. This quilt was found in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, it is a Mennonite quilt. This piece is beautifully hand quilted and hand sewn. The quilt is a museum of turn of the century fabrics. Some of our favorites include indigo fabrics and men's shirt scraps. We are obsessed with the unusual green fabric on the inside of this jacket. It is what can be called a cheater quilt, many makers would buy this fabric and quilt over the fabric. If you like to turn your Ethels upside down this is a great jacket for you. In our opinion the quilt is very thin, very soft, very lightweight, has a little loft, and has a flattering drape. If you have further questions, please direct message us and we are happy to send you a video.

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
