This is an antique American quilt. We believe the top was made circa 1890s to 1920 and the overall quilt was completed at a later date. The quilt is a traditional Tumbling Block quilt pattern with a center Star. We have displayed the star prominently on the back of the jacket. It is beautifully hand quilted and hand sewn. The fabrics in this jacket are a stunning representation of the Americana from its time period. The quilt contains rare and valuable indigo fabrics and men’s shirt scraps In our opinion, the quilt is thin, lightweight, soft, and has a little loft (puffiness). It has a great drape and is buttery soft. The quilt is in really good shape for its age. We used gold metal eagle buttons as closures. This is a size MEDIUM. Please see size guide and length measurements below. If you have any questions on size or fit please direct message us and we would be happy to help.

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
