This is an antique American quilt top made circa 1930s to 1950s. It is a traditional Scottie Dog appliqué quilt pattern. To complete the quilt, we backed the top with a blue polka dot fabric, you will want to cuff the sleeves to show this off! The top is beautifully hand appliquéd and hand embroidered with turkey tracks stitches, however it is not hand quilted. The maker added French knots for the eyes on each puppy dog. We added pearl heart buttons as closures. This is a very very hard to find quilt from the 30s. The ground fabric is ivory and not white. It was never intended to be white. In our opinion, the jacket is very lightweight, thin, soft, and extremely comfortable to wear. PLEASE NOTE: this is a size MEDIUM, but is shorter than our standard sizing. It fits somewhere between our Slim Shortie and standard Market jacket. Please read the measurements below.
