This is an American, antique made circa 1890s-1920s. This is the traditional four knaves quilt pattern. This piece is masterfully hand quilted and beautifully hand sewn. It is a great display of chambres and indigos from the era. We love the mixing of different blues all in one piece. Please note that there are tiny yellow/beige spots on the white fabric throughout this entire piece. It was very hard to capture in the photos. If this is something that will annoy you, the business side of the quilt is not in perfect condition however the fabric is in excellent condition. This piece is ready to live another life. The quilt is a thin soft lightweight quilt. the back of the quilt is a muslin fabric. PLEASE NOTE THIS SPECIFIC ETHEL HAS AN INCH TO TWO INCH SHORTER SLEEVES, IF YOU HAVE LONG ARMS OR LIKE LONG SLEEVES THIS IS NOT THE JACKET FOR YOU. IF YOU HAVE AVERAGE TO SHORT ARMS THIS WILL WORK PERFECTLY FOR YOU.
