This is our new style which we are so thrilled to offer. This jacket is full of drama and is a statement from start to finish. We poured our hearts into this pattern. We hope you love the exaggerated puffed sleeves, that are so rarely seen, mixed with an antique quilt.
This is an antique quilt made circa 1910-the 1930s. Some of the fabrics in this piece predate those eras. This is the traditional Fence Rail quilt pattern. It is beautifully hand quilted and hand pieced. The display of fabrics is phenomenal. Perhaps one of the most beautiful parts of this jacket is that the inside of the jacket, the backing of the quilt, is just as beautiful and well done as the outside, as the maker took great care on both the business and non-business sides of the quilt. We have tried to show this in the photos. We have hidden four charms throughout the sleeves for interest in this piece.
This specific jacket is a size medium.
Do not order this jacket without considering and reviewing the size chart. If you are on the borderline of a size, please size up for best results.
Snaps at corners of the collar to secure the lapel if desired.
The buttons on this jacket are darling, wood flower-shaped buttons.
The quilt has a thin batting. In our experience, we would not consider this a summer weight quilt because there is a thin layer of batting in between the two layers of cotton. However, it is still a lightweight and thin quilt.
The cotton is extremely soft. Not only is this piece beautiful but it is also very comfortable to wear due to the nature of the cottons and how they have aged.
