This is an American, antique quilt. We cannot be certain when this piece was made. We consider this piece to be part of the crazy quilt genre as it is made from multiple different kinds of fabrics. Most likely left overs from the makers sewing box. We cannot say enough about the time and toil that went into making this beauty. Not only is it hand sewn, hand quilted, but it is perhaps one of the most magnificent displays we have personally seen of hand embroidery containing countless different kinds of stitches in colors throughout the rainbow. This piece is museum quality and of utmost uniqueness. It is very thin, very light weight, and backed (inside of the jacket) in a fresh minty contrasting fabric. Lady Lancaster used some of her most prized mother of pearl antique buttons as closures. This would be considered a couture piece, a piece that you rarely see, but yet still so fun to wear with jeans, dresses, and even layered with a hoodie.

  • This jacket is full of drama and is a statement from start to finish. We poured our hearts into this pattern. We hope you love the exaggerated puffed sleeves, that are so rarely seen, mixed with an antique quilt.
