The piece is not hand quilted, but was completed by Zoe Dawn and her long arm machine. The exterior fabric is slightly grainy and slightly stiff to the touch. The inside is a soft luxe cotton.  In out opinion, the quilt is thin, lightweight, and has a little loft (puffiness).
