This is an american, Antique quilt made circa 1890's-1920. This is the traditional log cabin quilt pattern and the logs are tinier pieces with a small repeat. This quilt contains many different men's and women's shirt and dress scraps. The pallet is gorgeous. Overall, it is in excellent condition for its age. There are several age marks throughout that we were unsuccessful at lifting when we laundered this piece. On the inside of the jacket you can see the remnants of a watermark but it does not affect the exterior.
This Market Jacket is a cropped style with two generous pockets.
This is summer weight quilt which means there is no batting and no loft. It is an extremely light weight and thin quilt.
There are 5 natural wood sphere buttons to add even more interest and texture to this beautiful piece of folk art.
For your convenience, this coat has a hanging loop at the back of the neck.
