This is an American Antique quilt made circa 1890's to 1919. It is an Unequal Nine Patch quilt pattern. This piece is beautifully hand quilted. This is a wonderful textile exhibit form the turn of the century. These fabrics, especially the black and lilac floral, are rarely seen today and are just stunning. This quilt is a dream to wear. The cotton is luxe, light weight, soft, and has a beautiful drape. Please note the contrasting red calico backing fabric (inside of jacket). Overall for its age this jacket is what we consider to be excellent condition. There are a few very tiny age marks scattered throughout that we could not list when we washed this piece. We have included a photo at the end of the listing for a visual. If you have further questions please direct message us and we are happy to send you a video.

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
