This is an antique, American quilt made circa 1930s-1940s. It is a traditional Broken Star quilt pattern. This piece is beautifully hand quilted with tiny stitches in feather patterns throughout the quilt. We believe the quilt was backed by a different quilter than the women who made the quilt top. The back of this quilt is from a completely different era than the business side of the quilt. That being said, we love the red rose fabric on the inside of the jacket. The quilt is in excellent condition. The cotton used is very soft and very thin cotton. Because of this in some places, you can see threads through the white fabric. This is not color bleed it is just the nature of the fabrics used. In our opinion the quilt is very soft, very thin, with a little loft (puffiness). This piece also has beautiful drape. Please direct message us on Instagram if you would like to see more detailed videos or would like more information.

  • This is a very lightweight quilt and also thin. It hugs the body beautifully. It also moves and drapes exceptionally well.
  • This jacket features side slits for generous movement and a beautiful drape.
  • This jacket has two clear snaps at the tips of the collar that secure the lapel if desired.
  • This jacket has two pockets.
  • Fold the architectural collar down to create a lapel if desired.
  • The Helen Jacket has a generous fit and is not meant to have a tailored look.
  • One Size Fits Most

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
