Transcending Trends....This is a vintage American quilt made from a very popular Paragon quilt kit. This kit was highlighted in Good Housekeeping Magazine in the 1960's. As a result, it became quite popular with quilt makers around the U.S. It is the epitome of American Folk Art. The bell motif at the back of the neck is very reminiscent of Pennsylvania Dutch Art. It most likely depicts the Liberty Bell. The quilt is beautifully hand quilted with dense stitches and meticulously hand appliqued. This is a stunning piece of wearable art in every way. In our opinion, the quilt is very thin, very soft, very lightweight, with a wonderful drape. This is a Lady Lancaster 10/10.
