This is an American, antique quilt completed 1933. It is impeccable condition for its age. This piece is an absolute museum quality quilt for its abundance of hand craft. This piece is a total show off. It is a Lady Lancaster 10/10. It's an added bonus to have the date reflected throughout. We did some research on this piece trying to figure out if this was a church or civic organization but we were unable to find a conclusive answer. The font used and the consistency in the stitching is breath taking. In addition to the hand embroidery this piece has also been masterfully hand quilted. We have chosen hand painted vintage buttons for closures. Each button is initialed on the back by the maker. The buttons show strawberry and daffodil motifs all hand painted on wood. In our opinion, the quilt is very thin, very soft, very light weight with a great drape. This is a decorative art show off.
