This is an American, antique quilt made circa 1880s-1900. The quilt was made by an absolute artist. It is a very rogue quilt pattern that we have never seen before and will never see again. It is a Hexi based quilt pattern that gives reference to both the Grandma's Garden quilt pattern and Around the World quilt patterns. It is most similar to but not exclusive to a Hexi version of the Around the World Pattern. The singular flower on the center back of this jacket represents the world and all stripes around the epicenter represent trips around the world. This is an absolute piece of wearable museum quality art. It is folk art and decorative art. The piece is beautifully hand quilted and hand sewn. We have added faux leather buttons as closures. Please appreciate the homespun gingham on the inside of the jacket (back of the quilt). This quilt came from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and in our standards we call this a 10/10. The quilt is thin, soft, light weight, with a great drape.

  • This jacket best fits a size 0-8 depending on styling preferences and bust size. We consider this to be a size small. Please reference measurements before purchasing for a specific fit.
  • This jacket features two generous pockets.
  • This piece is lightweight but of medium thickness. It has loft to it but it is not heavy at all.
  • Measurements

50” top of the back of neck to the bottom of the hem

22.5” laying flat, armpit to armpit, buttoned jacket

22” shoulder seam to the bottom of the arm, uncuffed

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
