This is an American, antique quilt made circa 1890s-1920. It is very densely hand quilted, meticulously hand cut with crisp points. It is the traditional Lone Star quilt pattern with an amplified and hard to find border that can best be appreciated down the front center or around the hemline of the jacket. There is some dye transfer from the yellow of the fabric on the inside of the jacket that does not show through on the outside. There are also a few age marks that we could not get out when we washed this quilt on the inside of the jacket. Please direct message us if you would like to see detailed videos and we would be happy to send videos of the color transfer and age marks. Overall, this quilt is in excellent condition for its age. In our opinion, this quilt is thin, light weight, with little to no loft (puffiness). This quilt is soft. We have added leather buttons down the front as closures. Please see photos for details.
- This jacket best fits a size 0-8 depending on styling preferences and bust size. We consider this to be a size small. Please reference measurements before purchasing for a specific fit.
- This jacket features two generous pockets.
- This piece is lightweight but of medium thickness. It has loft to it but it is not heavy at all.
49” top of the back of neck to the bottom of the hem
21” laying flat, armpit to armpit, buttoned jacket
22” shoulder seam to the bottom of the arm, uncuffed
Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
