This is an American, antique quilt made circa the 1930s-1940s. This is the traditional Lone Star quilt pattern. It is beautifully hand quilted. We deconstructed a vintage Levi's trucker jacket for the sleeves and collar. We added copper and turquoise toned buttons for closures down the front. There are a few zig zag mends throughout. The back of the quilt is a tiny polka dot and star pale pink fabric. Which can best be appreciated when the jacket is worn unbuttoned. This quilt is made from extremely soft and luxe cotton. It is very comfortable and has a beautiful drape. In our opinion, the quilt is thin, light weight, with a little loft.
- This jacket features two generous pockets.
- This piece is lightweight but of medium thickness. It has loft to it but it is not heavy at all.
50” top of the back of neck to the bottom of the hem
21” laying flat, armpit to armpit, buttoned jacket
22.5” shoulder seam to the bottom of the arm, uncuffed
Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
