This is an antique, American quilt made circa the 1930s-1950s. This piece was made in the traditional Lone Star quilt pattern with a lot of extras. The three-striped border is next level, and we have tried to preserve this throughout the design of the jacket. It is best seen on the cuffs and the hem. This beauty is hand-quilted, which is a labor of love and a lost art. We have added natural wooden oversized buttons as closures. There is some very faint sun bleaching throughout the quilt so not all the reds and blues are the exact same shade. Overall the quilt and the fabrics are in excellent condition for their age. We hope you appreciate the diamond details on the pockets. This piece is definitely a party in the back and is an absolute showstopper when worn.
- In our opinion, this is a very thin, very lightweight quilt, with a little loft (puffiness).
This jacket best fits a size 0-8 depending on styling preferences and bust size. We consider this to be a size small. Please reference measurements before purchasing for a specific fit.
This jacket features two generous pockets.
51” top of the back of neck to the bottom of the hem
22.5” laying flat, armpit to armpit, buttoned jacket
22” shoulder seam to the bottom of the arm, uncuffed
Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
