This is an American, antique quilt made circa the 1940s-1950s. It is the traditional Grandma's Garden quilt pattern, This piece is extraordinary for its hand-quilting, hand-sewing, and its tiny hexagon pieces. Please note: the elevated border, which is not often seen, and we have tried to preserve this at the hem and the cuffs.
- In our opinion, the quilt is thin, lightweight, with a little loft (puffiness), very soft, with a great drape.
- This jacket best fits a size 0-8 depending on styling preferences and bust size. We consider this to be a size small. Please reference measurements before purchasing for a specific fit.
- This jacket features two generous pockets.
- This piece is lightweight but of medium thickness. It has loft to it but it is not heavy at all.
50” top of the back of neck to the bottom of the hem
22.5” laying flat, armpit to armpit, buttoned jacket
23” shoulder seam to the bottom of the arm, uncuffed
Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
