This is an American, antique quilt made circa 1930s-1940s. It is the traditional Grandmas Garden quilt pattern. This piece is beautifully hand quilted and hand sewn. We have added gold and mother of pearl buttons as closures down the front of the jacket. We consider this piece to be thin, light weight, and soft. This quilt has not seen a lot of wear so it is not super drapey. It does hold its structure, however the cut of the jacket helps this piece to drape and move. It is worth noting that this quilt contains many historical juvenile and novelty fabrics.
- This jacket best fits a size 0-8 depending on styling preferences and bust size. We consider this to be a size small. Please reference measurements before purchasing for a specific fit.
- This jacket features two generous pockets.
- This piece is lightweight but of medium thickness. It has loft to it but it is not heavy at all.
51” top of the back of neck to the bottom of the hem
21” laying flat, armpit to armpit, buttoned jacket
23” shoulder seam to the bottom of the arm, uncuffed
Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
