This is an American, antique quilt made circa 1930s. It is the the traditional Around the World quilt pattern, but in a very untraditional fabric palette. The blocks are built with rectangles instead of squares. Giving it a subway tile appearance. This quilt is what we consider to be a 10/10. It is phenomenal in every way. The fabrics used, the buttons, and the weight are sublime. It is hand quilted and hand sewn. We used gold and mother of pearl buttons for closures down the front. It is a thin and light weight jacket. For our quilt nerds, you should note, this piece contains several historical feedback fabrics. Perhaps one of the most charming attributes about this quilt is the back, inside of the jacket, the purple and turquoise floral fabric is absolutely charming and can best be seen when the cuffs are rolled. We have tried to show this in the photos.
Please reference measurements before purchasing for a specific fit.
This jacket features two generous pockets.
50” top of the back of neck to the bottom of the hem
21.5” laying flat, armpit to armpit, buttoned jacket
24” shoulder seam to the bottom of the arm, uncuffed
Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
