This is an American, antique quilt made circa 1930's. It is the traditional lone star quilt pattern but using very untraditional fabrics and colors. We try very hard to bring you the most unique pieces, and this is one of them. This piece is loaded with historical feedsack fabrics full of color and florals. It is both beautifully hand quilted and hand sewn. This piece has been very, very pre-loved. We believe it has seen quite a lot of sun perhaps being washed many times and hung in the sun to dry. There is color fade throughout and a definite wash line fade mark which we have showcased on the sleeve and illustrated in the listing photos. At Lady Lancaster, we embrace sun bleaching on quilts, as long as it does not affect the overall integrity of the fabric. We believe this petina is a tiny window into its previous life and adds character to the overall story of the quilt. This piece is very lightweight, thin, and soft cotton. It is comfortable to wear and we have used pebbled turquoise buttons as closures. There are two pockets in this jacket.
Please see the photos for best descriptions but we have added six opalescent, oversized beetle buttons down the front of this piece.
This jacket best fits a size 0-8 depending on styling preferences and bust size. We consider this to be a size small. Please reference measurements before purchasing for a specific fit.
This jacket features two generous pockets.
This piece is lightweight but of medium thickness. It has loft to it but it is not heavy at all.

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
