This is an American antique/vintage quilt, made circa the 1940s. This piece was made in the traditional Jacob's Ladder quilt pattern. This beauty has been hand quilted, which would have taken hundreds of hours and is a labor of love. We love the subtle calico fabric on the backing of the quilt, the inside of the jacket. This can best be appreciated when the cuffs are rolled. The quilt is very thin, very soft, and very lightweight with a great drape. It is easy to wear and perfect for summer and fall nights.
The Blankie style is our most oversized one-size-fits-most jacket. If you are tiny or petite please understand this is a very large oversized jacket. Lady Lancaster, who is modeling this jacket is a US size 0-4 and 5'4" in height for perspective. This piece legitimately fits a US size 0-16 comfortably. Lady Lancaster designed this style to be a literal Blankie with arms and is a perfect layering piece for after the beach or pool or a pre-ski and campfire.

This jacket has clear snaps that disappear into the fabric at the bottom of the shawl collar to
help the lapel drape nicely.

This features two very deep, generous pockets.

One Size Fits Most
Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
