This is an Antique American quilt made circa 1930's-1940's. It is an elevated Lone Star quilt pattern with satellites. This piece is exceptional for its crisp points, its museum quality hand quilting, its meticulous hand piecing, its satellites, and its rainbow border. There are so many extra details in this quilt, it is an absolute show off. We also love the clementine backing fabric(inside of jacket). This can best be appreciated when the cuffs are rolled or the jacket is worn upside down. In our opinion this piece is very thin, very soft, very light weight, with a little loft(batting), and has an excellent drape. This is a Lady Lancaster 10/10.
