This is an Antique American quilt. The quilt top was made circa 1890's to 1910's and then was backed in a more contemporary era. It is made in the traditional 8 Point Star quilt pattern. This piece has been beautifully hand quilted and hand sewn, which is a labor of love and a lost art. We love the navy an light blue backing fabric that can best be seen when the cuffs are rolled or the jacket is worn upside down. Also take note of the variety of incredible fabrics used on the quilt top. There are a variety of rare and beautiful indigos and browns and black fabrics that have stood the test of time. We also want to draw your attention to a novelty fabric used in the one star, it is a sailor hanging off of an anchor. If you love historic fabrics with a little funk, this is a great jacket for you! - The shawl collar allows for several different style options. This jacket is meant to be worn right side up or upside down.
- This jacket has two clear snaps that disappear into the fabric at the bottom of the shawl collar to help the lapel drape nicely.

This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
